Year 3
Junior year time for us. We've come such a long way. The last year has been nothing short of spectacular. We're evolving, and always learning. I can't stress enough from everyone who has followed, tweeted and listened to our podcast. I also can't stress enough what my co-host Jace means to me. He has been there since the beginning, and I know he'll be here until we're both tired of this, which isn't anytime soon by the way. He keeps mean my toes, so thank you for that. This year we've started to push more content than ever before. Beyond podcast episodes, we started to write reviews and articles on subjects we don't have time to talk about or just things we really like. Most recently I published a fun article on Digimon and before that a fun article on why I thought I was too old for Pokémon. We had a big exclusive with a review of the Spider-Man PS4 Pro, with a YouTube video to boot. Most recently we had the opportunity to review a film called Hate Crime. We have an interview episode with Amy Redford and Director Steven Esteb coming later this week. We have certainly come a long way.
Just like last year, we are expanding yet again. We made the jump to Spotify, and now we are under review to make it to Pandora Podcasts too. Once we are accepted, we will be on six different platforms. It's strange. I'm struggling to find the words to write this year. It's not that I'm not happy or proud of what we have accomplished because I am. I guess it's because I don't know where I want this to go. I started this podcast in the hopes that it would reach people and give us a voice. In that regard, our growth has been a success. We have been heard, and a lot of listeners like us and agree with us on various topics. I'm going to continue to create content, more episodes, different topics, more articles. I would however be lying if I said I knew where we could go next, because I truly do not know. Right now I'm coasting trying to figure it out. I guess this is just like junior year in high school where you're starting to figure out what college you want to go to and what you want to do with the rest of your life. What do I want to do with this platform?
I will figure it out eventually. When I do, you'll know about it. For now, I just want to say thank you for another amazing year. This post is much smaller than what I wanted it to be. Smaller may be better this time around. Kind of short and sweet. While I'm happy to celebrate the amount of progress made, this post is meant to get me thinking more than anything. That's something I need right now, a place to put my thoughts in. So, until next time thanks again for sticking with us. Happy Anniversary FGC Podcast. Also, I know I'm late posting this, but the last few weeks have been very exciting for us so I apologize. See ya!
