He's Home

After releasing a short teaser for the teaser yesterday, tonight on the Jimmy Kimmel Live show, the official trailer for 'Spider-Man: Homecoming' dropped.https://youtu.be/xrzXIaTt99UYes, Spider-Man is back home with Marvel and the trailer is not shy with telling you so, by dropping references to the Avengers, as well as having a fellow Avenger, Mr. Tony Stark, aka Iron Man giving Peter some tips on what he would or would not do. It's a grey area. The bulk of the footage seem to focus on Peter's high school life. It was said from the beginning, the film would try to feel like a John Hughes movie and you get that vibe. Well, you do until we catch our first glimpse at our main villain, The Vulture played by Michael Keaton. We get very little, but the little we get make for a very scary looking villain and Keaton seems like he's going o be... Amazing. Spectacular? Ok enough with the Spidey puns.Speaking of puns, the humor seems to be top notch so far  At the beginning of the trailer we already have some quips coming out of his mouth. It's great that this is not exactly an origin story, however you can clearly tell Peter is still trying to figure it all out. Tony seems to want to help Peter, but at the same time he's trying to keep him on the low. It's going to be an interesting version of Spider-Man we haven't seen before, as with previous Spider-Man films, we see Peter already have a hang on him being a superhero. All in all, we still have a bit of a wait until we see our favorite wall crawler on the big screen again, but this first trailer seems to show they are taking the web head in the direction we all wanted to see. You can be sure we will talk about this on the podcast soon, but in the meantime give us your thoughts down below.
