As much as fans may not like the Michael Bay directed 'Transformers' movies, the exception being the first movie, you cannot deny the amount of money each movie keeps bringing in. Hence we now have the 5th movie in the franchise making its trailer debut, Transformers: The Last Knight.https://youtu.be/AntcyqJ6brcThe previous Transformers movie introduced us to a new hero, Cade Yeager (Mark Wahlberg) and he returns, but now along with characters from the original trilogy, Lt Lennox (Josh Duhamel) and Agent Simmons (John Turturro) as well as newcomer Izabella (Isabella Monet). It seems Cade is now working beside Lennox and his crew with this new threat coming to Earth. We see glimpses of a not so good looking Optimus Prime, and then a bit later Optimus fighting Bumblebee and possibly almost fatally wounding him. We also get a glimpse of something very large in size about to either destroy our moon, or possibly destroy Earth. Unicron, the planet sized transformer that has been rumored to be in this film for some time now.Interestingly, one of the lines said in the begging of the trailer calls back to the Witwicky family motto from the original trilogy as well "Without sacrifice there can be no victory." Now while Shia LaBeouf has not been officially cast in this film, and has not appeared since Transformers: Dark of the Moon, perhaps this quote is just a nod and nothing more, but who knows, it could be a hint of lord returning back to the Witwicky family connection to the Transformers.Visually, the trailers looks great, with Michael Bay's signature explosives everywhere, and the CGI on the robots this time around looks better than they have ever been. Seeing some of the old characters back with the new is also a welcome as the human characters of the original trilogy were pretty great in their roles. What do you guys think of the trailer? We'll be looking forward to hearing more about Transformers: The Last Knight in the coming months, and when the movie opens June of 2017.
